With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Randall W. LaFleur, a beloved husband, dad, poppy, and friend. He was born on November 17, 1954, in Cincinnati, OH, and suddenly departed from this world on August 12, 2024, in Port Clinton, OH.
Randy was a man of many passions and talents. From his days shining as a star baseball player at Western Hills High School to his dedication to his profession as a painter, Randy’s hard work and love for life shone through in all he did. He found joy in the simple pleasures, whether it was cheering on his favorite Cincinnati sports teams, especially the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals and UC Bearcats, or sharing special moments with his loved ones.
His spirit of camaraderie and devotion to family defined Randy’s life. He adored his wife, Sandy, and found immense happiness in spending time with his grandchildren, supporting them in every endeavor and creating lasting memories with them. Randy was a beloved husband of 36 years to Sandy (nee Cartmell) LaFleur. Devoted father of Jason (Heather) LaFleur. Loving poppy to Landon and Peyton. Dear brother of Terry (late Dee) LaFleur and Gayle (Bill) Bunger. Brother-in-law of Cheri (Bob) Jacobs and Larry (Cindy) Cartmell. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
As we reflect on Randy’s life, we are reminded of the warmth and kindness he extended to all who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of sharing in his journey.
A Funeral Service to honor and remember Randy will be held at Frederick Funeral Home on August 21, 2024, at 11:30 am. Prior to the service, a Visitation will take place at Frederick Funeral Home starting at 9:30 am.
In these moments of sorrow, let us come together to celebrate the life of this remarkable man, his enduring legacy, and the love he shared with us all. May his memory be a blessing and a source of solace during this time of loss.
