Obituary for Raymond Sester

Raymond Sester, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on July 9, 1959, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Raymond lived his entire life in the Cincinnati area, where he made a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know him.

Raymond was a dedicated Purchasing Agent in the manufacturing industry, known for his sharp mind and strong work ethic. He held an Associate’s Degree and approached every task with diligence and integrity. Beyond his professional life, Raymond was a passionate sports enthusiast, an unwavering fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, Indianapolis Colts, and Las Vegas Raiders. In his younger years, he showcased his love for baseball by playing in local leagues, where he cultivated friendships and memories that would last a lifetime.

Raymond’s spirited personality shone through in his love for humor-he was known for his jokes and playful antics that brought laughter to those around him. His ability to uplift spirits was one of his most cherished qualities, and he will be remembered for the joy he spread to family and friends alike.

A man of faith, Raymond held a special appreciation for traditional hymns, finding solace and inspiration in their melodies. He cherished his family deeply and is survived by his brother, Oakley Sester; his sister, Barbara (Don) Henson; and many nieces and nephews, who will carry his memory in their hearts.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Claudia Sester, and sister, Judy Sizemore.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10th, 2025 from 10:00-11:00am at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Lakeside Mausoleum Chapel, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 (Follow the RED Line). A funeral service will follow at 11:00am. Burial will take place at 12:00pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens.

In this time of remembrance, we honor a great guy whose spirit will forever resonate in our hearts. May he rest in peace.
