In Loving Memory of Richard A. Patmann

Richard A. Patmann “Dick”, age 86, of Cincinnati, OH, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2024. He was born on March 31, 1937, in Cincinnati, to the late Fred “Fritz” Patmann and Dorothy “Dot” Patmann.

Richard was a dedicated and hardworking individual throughout his life. He pursued his passion for fishing and utilized his creative skills as a Fishing Lure Engineer at Snagproof, a well-known fishing equipment company. Richard’s innovative designs, including the renowned Frogzilla lure, contributed significantly to the fishing industry.

He proudly served in the Army National Guard for over three years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, gardening and going bowling. He was the type of man that could literally fix or build anything and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed his help.

Outside of his professional life, Richard cherished spending time with his loving family. He is survived by his beloved children, Diane Freel, Penny Studdard, Richard Patmann, and Amber Patmann, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Thomas Freel, Amanda Freel, Liberty Patmann, and William Patmann. He was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, William Stouffer IV, Hayley Freel, and Grayson Boorom. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Nancy Sue Pattman (Dowers).

In addition to his dedication to his family and career, Richard had a deep faith in God and found solace in reading the Bible. He was a true believer and lived his life guided by Christian values.
