Roberta “Becky” Carpenter

april 14, 1956 – December 26, 2024

Roberta “Becky” Carpenter

Roberta Rebecca Carpenter (1956-2024)

Roberta Rebecca Carpenter, beloved mother to four, Steven Carpenter 49, Connie Carpenter 47, Sara Hassoldt 43, and Andrew Carpenter 40, passed away in Pinellas Park, FL from vascular dementia on December 26, 2024. She has moved from struggle to rest and will be greatly missed.

She was born in Cincinnati, OH in 1956 to Richard and Dorothy Weber, and grew up with her three siblings, Connie, Ricky, and Elen. She spent much of her life taking care of others. She has worked with the homeless, worked as an in-home health aid, and moved back to Ohio to take care of her ailing brother and parents in their last days.

Becky was a devoted mother to Steven, Connie, Sara, and Andrew, who were her pride and joy. Throughout her life, she worked tirelessly to provide and care for her family. Becky was also deeply devoted to the Lord, her church, her community, and her many dear friends. She touched the lives of so many, making them better in countless ways.

Becky took special joy in kindness and generosity. She was involved in homeless shelters cooking, organizing donations for the Thanksgiving outreach with Glad Tidings Church, and always had an open house filled with teenagers. She had fond memories of game nights that would last for hours, running around late at night toilet papering houses, and the time she took her children to see The Wizard of Oz at the playhouse. Becky shared a life full of laughter with her friends. She filled Maddy and her “adopted” grandkids with cookies to decorate at Christmas and lots of silly decorations for the holidays. She spent many hours playing with Madison on video chat and going on imaginary adventures.

Becky was preceded in death by Connie Weber, Dorothy Weber, Richard Weber Jr., Ginger Weber, Elen McKee, and Richard Weber Sr., and is survived by Steven Carpenter, Connie Carpenter, Sara Hassoldt, Andrew Carpenter, and Madison Hassoldt, who will never forget her funny way of interpreting things, and how she always made us laugh. She was resilient in the face of hardships, always finding a way to push through and make the best of every situation. She will never truly leave us; she will be in our hearts and fond memories.

“Grandma, I loved you and all the time we spent together. I fondly remember the hours and hours we spent on call, chatting and loving each other’s presence. I remember the Halloween decoration contest and all the silly string you threw at me. I remember the extra suitcase of gifts you would always bring for me and for my mom. I loved you, and will continue to do so, even in your absence.”

“May Becky’s memory be etched in your hearts, as her children; and in the stars for all whose lives and hearts she touched during her journey in life.”

“God has a new angel! See you when I get there hopefully. Rest in peace sweetheart. Love Jeff and Betty”

“Becky was the best. She opened her home to all the kids and they loved her…I know our son Mike had a special place in his heart for Becky as well as for Connie, Sara and Andy. I reme.ber many ladies gatherings at her home and then on to a night of toilet paper raids…She always had a smile on her face and could make you laugh. Even when I had the pleasure of visiting her recently she still was smiling. You are miss Becky. RIP our sweet angel..Love you lady….”

“Becky was an amazing neighbor I got the chance to meet when she moved back home to help care for Dick and Ginger. She had a huge heart and we enjoyed countless hours on the porch “people watching”. She was an extra “aunt” to my children and fixed many stuffed animals of Kenna’s after cooper chewed off their eyes. I’m glad I had the chance to meet her and call her a friend. She will be greatly missed. Love to you all. Love Becky (the neighbor)”
