Roger Steven Snyder

Obituary for Roger Steven Snyder

Roger Steven Snyder, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025, on his 69th birthday. Born on June 13, 1956, in Waterbury, Connecticut, Roger lived a life filled with passion, adventure, and cherished moments with his loved ones.

Roger was a skilled trade worker at BRG Apartments for almost 27 years where his meticulous attention to detail and work ethic earned him respect and admiration. He valued the importance of family, and his greatest joy came from spending time with his wife, Julia Snyder, and their family. He also leaves behind his daughter, Sandy (Chad) Lemmink, son, Steven Snyder, step-children, Elizabeth (Kevin) Widomski, Steven (Jessica) Moser, and Laura (Zachary) Oliverio, and a proud legacy through his ten grandchildren: Jordan Yelton, Brooke Walter, Logan Walter, Payton Lemmink, Carter Lemmink, Stevie Moser, Landon Moser, Max Moser, Barrett Widomski and Anabella Snyder, as well as his brother, Charles (Laurie) Snyder and many extended family and friends.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Bella Snyder, and siblings, Ross (Roberta) Snyder, Virginia (Gary) Audet, and Robert (Susan) Snyder.

A man of numerous interests, Roger found joy in the simple things in life. He enjoyed playing pool and cards, particularly his favorite game of Euchre, and was always up for a spirited game between himself and his daughter Sandy versus his wife Julia and son-in-law Chad. Thursday night dinners out were a cherished routine for him, a time to indulge in good food and great conversation.

Roger enjoyed traveling, especially his relished trips to Hawaii and Maine, where he created lasting memories with his family. He also had a love for shooting guns with his family.

A Celebration of Life for Roger will be held on Friday, June 20th, 2025 from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 (Follow the BLUE line).

In honor of Roger, memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude Children Research Hospital.

May Roger rest in peace, cherished in our memories and forever a part of our hearts.

“So sorry to hear of your passing. God speed.”

“Roger, I will always cherish our time training and the races we ran together. We shared many miles and stories on our runs. I have such beautiful memories from our friendship. Spending July 4th at your spot on the lake and perhaps the most memorable time that Watson tried to burn the house down pulling the stick out of the firepit! I can hear your chuckle now! Much love to Julie and the rest of the family. ❤️”
