A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Russell Carl Hoffman, a true friend, devoted husband, and beloved member of the Cincinnati community, who left us on October 14, 2025, at the age of 77. Russ was born on November 21, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he lived his entire life, always cherishing the city he called home.
Russ’s life was marked by his extraordinary love for his wife, Suzi. Together for 50 years and married for 46, their bond was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Their shared adventures, whether riding through open roads on his motorcycle or enjoying peaceful days enjoying nature in their own backyard.
For 37 years, Russ dedicated himself to Hennegan in the printing and graphics industry, where he made lasting friendships and became known for his hard work and kindness. His commitment extended beyond his job; he took pride in helping neighbors, whether it was shoveling snow during inclement weather or lending a hand whenever someone needed it.
Russ had a passion for keeping fit, often seen at the gym or manicuring his award-winning yard that brought beauty to his home and joy to those around him. His enthusiasm for life was infectious; he never met a stranger and was always ready with a warm smile and a story to share.
Russ is survived by his loving wife, Suzi; his sisters, Sheila Edwards and Sylvia Hoffman; his nieces, nephew, extended family members and his constant companion, his dog Sami.
Russ was preceded in death by his parents, Elsworth and Genevieve Hoffman.
Private graveside service will be held at the Arlington Memorial Gardens.
A Celebration of Life will be held on what would have been Russ’s 78th birthday for family and friends on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Lakeside Chapel, 2145 Compton Road, 45231 (follow the red line upon entering the memorial park). Service will begin at 12:00 pm with a reception immediately following.
Russ touched so many lives in his time with us. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered for his kindness, love, and joyful spirit.
In lieu of flowers, please donate in memory of Russ’s life to Cincinnati Zoo https://cincinnatizoo.org/support/support-the-zoo/.

“Oh the good times we shared. SO many fun times we had. Traveling on vaca to St. Thomas will go down as our favorite trip with you. Rides on the bikes and football season bets, talking and keeping up with the news. Not going to be the same without you buddy. Look over us all and be Suzi’s guardian angel. We love you always.
