Sandra Joyce Breining

With heavy hearts yet a profound sense of celebration, we announce the passing of Sandra Joyce Breining on March 9, 2026, and her beloved husband, Thomas Breining, who departed this world on July 4, 2024. Sandra was born on August 9, 1947, in Cincinnati, OH, and Thomas came into the world on May 26, 1950. Together, they shared a remarkable 48 years of marriage, filled with love, adventure, and the joy of family.

Sandra was a devoted homemaker and an insightful private investigator, while Thomas was a diligent electrician known for his hard work and commitment to providing for his family. Together, they nourished a deep passion for home building, creating three homes in the U.S. and a cherished retreat in Costa Rica, where they dreamed of retiring. Costa Rica held a special place in their hearts, a paradise where countless memories were made and laughter echoed through the years.

Their legacy lives on through their children: Jeffrey (Johanna) Barlion, Amy Manion, and Carey (Terrance) Monday, as well as their six grandchildren—Shea, Jarrel, Darian (Krista), Dylan (Samanta), Brooklyn, and Lauren—and seven great-grandchildren, Lillian, Abel, Aida, Jaylen, Blaize, Della, and Ricki. Sandra is also survived by her sister Paula Wright. The love that Sandra and Tom shared was inseparable, and now they are joyfully reunited in paradise.

A Celebration of Life service honoring both Sandra and Thomas will take place on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Arlington Memorial Gardens Lakeside Mausoleum Chapel, 2145 Compton Road, 45231 (follow the red line upon entering the memorial park) at 11:00 a.m. They will be laid to rest immediately following in the Lakeside Mausoleum.

As we gather to commemorate their remarkable lives, let us remember not only the sadness of their departure but also the countless smiles, laughter, and love they brought into our lives. In honoring Sandra and Thomas, we celebrate a beautiful journey together, one that continues even now in our hearts.
