Stephan Alexander Meyer

december 8, 1984 – may 5, 2026

Stephan Alexander Meyer

Stephan Alexander Meyer cast off from the shores of Midgard on May 5, 2026, at the age of 41, setting sail for the halls beyond the western sea. Born December 8, 1984, in Cincinnati, he strode through this world with laughter in his voice, mischief in his spirit, and the heart of a warrior among his kin.

He leaves behind his mother, Elizabeth Adams; his brothers, Dennis and Tyler; his sister, Justine; his sisters-in-law, Rachel and Jenifer; his beloved nephews Dennis, Timothy, Damion, William, Connor, and Benjamin; his niece Stephanie; and his great-nieces Evelyn and Navi. He also leaves behind the countless shield-brothers, companions, and fellow wanderers who shared in his feasts, stories, battles, and adventures. Among those carrying his memory forward is Jessica Moore, his former companion and enduring friend, whose place beside him remained unchanged even after their road together took a different course.

A son of Roger Bacon High School, Class of 2003, Stephan later became a master of the axe at Class Axe, where he astonished crowds with throws so true they seemed guided by Odin himself. Patrons came to test their courage; they left with stories of the giant Ulfric who could split the mark with impossible trick shots and laugh like thunder afterward.

Stephan was a traveler, a camper beneath cold stars, and a celebrant of autumn’s dying fire. Each October, he walked gladly among ghosts and monsters, delighting in fear and laughter alike. At Kings Island Halloween Haunt, he donned many faces and became a creature of legend, reveling in the ancient joy of transformation and spectacle. His costumes were rarely bought — they were forged by hand with the devotion of an artisan preparing armor for battle.

Whether before a camera, around a gaming table, or beside a campfire, Stephan was a natural storyteller. He threw himself into each role with the same fearless enthusiasm he brought to every adventure. His imagination was fierce and untamed, and all who knew him felt the force of it.

He was also a keeper of treasures. His heroes and figures stood guarded in their sacred boxes, preserved as carefully as relics in a king’s burial mound. Like the warriors of old, Stephan respected finely crafted blades and well-kept arms. He found joy in the discipline of marksmanship and took pride in a collection of knives gathered over many years.

Now Stephan journeys onward, reunited at last with his faithful hound Dixie, waiting beside the firelight in the next great hall.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Meyer.

On Friday, May 15, 2026, family and friends shall gather to honor him one final time before his longship departs:

Visitation: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Funeral Service: 12:00 PM

Graveside Rite: 1:00 PM

All rites shall be held at Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231 (follow the blue line upon entering the memorial park).

Raise the horn high for Stephan Alexander Meyer — warrior of laughter, keeper of stories, thrower of axes, lover of monsters and midnight fires. May the gates open before him, may the feast never end, and may his name be spoken loudly for generations yet to come.

In place of flowers laid upon the shore, the family asks that gifts in Stephan’s memory be made to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at cmn.org.

As Stephan himself might have said:

“They don’t think it be like it is, but it do.”
