Tahanna “Tana” Schenkel (nee Yeazel) passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024, at the age of 80. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 28, 1944, to Lillie and the late Darrel Yeazel. Tana was the beloved mother of Jeff (Penny) Schenkel and Mark (Amy Stoll) Schenkel; cherished grandmother of David Schenkel and Jacob Schenkel; treasured great-grandmother of Chloe Schenkel; loved sister of Duane (Kathy) Yeazel; and dear aunt of Katie Yeazel. Tana also leaves behind numerous loving friends, including her devoted companion, Bill Carlson. In addition to her father, Tana was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stanley P. Schenkel, Jr.

Tana dedicated her professional pursuits to Procter & Gamble for 36 years, last serving in international exports until her retirement in 1999. Tana had an unwavering love for her dogs, including Cuddles, Tosha, Lexie, Chloe, and most recently, Sara. Her home was a sanctuary for her pets, and she was committed to their well-being and happiness.

Tana found great joy during the years she spent in Arizona tap-dancing with the Rainbow Girls group. Her enthusiasm for dancing reflected her vibrant spirit and dancing left her with so many irreplaceable memories. She also enjoyed cruises with friends and traveling to places with great natural beauty like Hawaii. In her spare time, Tana loved to find herself engrossed in a good book. She was an avid reader throughout her lifetime and cherished moments spent turning pages. Tana was a woman with a zest for life reflected in her many enduring friendships, her love for her boys, grandkids, and great granddaughter. Her warm smile and compassion will be missed deeply by those blessed enough to have known her.
