Obituary via Evans Funeral Home

William C. Bittner, a beloved soul, whose journey began on May 4, 1933, in Mt. Healthy, OH, has peacefully found solace in eternal rest on July 30, 2024. He was a distinguished supervisor in the manufacturing industry, dedicated to his work at Western Electric for 30 years.

William’s legacy is continued by his adoring daughter Annette (Doug) Bain, sons William M. Bittner and Christopher (Tonya) Bittner, as well as his eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was not only a devoted father, but also a passionate soccer fan and coach, imparting his wisdom and love for the game to many.

Having served his community as a volunteer fireman for two decades with the Green Hills Fire Dept, William was a pillar of strength, having also held the position of president in the Green Hills Fireman’s Association. His commitment to service extended to his country as well, having proudly served during the Korean War.

William’s love for animals, his family, and his unwavering faith enriched the lives of those around him. His involvement in the American Legion Post 450 and VFW Post 6562 further exemplified his dedication to community and country.

He now reunites with his parents Edwin and Marcella Bittner, wife, Barbara Heitzman Bittner, two sisters Shirley and Joan, and his grandson Bryan Bain in the embrace of divine peace.

Friends, family, and all whose lives were touched by William are invited to join in celebrating his life and bidding him a fond farewell as he begins his next great adventure beyond the veil on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 6-8PM in the Evans Funeral Home, Milford. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church on Wednesday at 10:00AM. A burial with military honors will take place at Arlington Memorial Gardens. May his spirit soar with the angels as his memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved him dearly. Memorial contributions are requested to Honor Flight or Hospice of Cincinnati.
