A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Susan Lee Burgher, who departed this life on February 13, 2026, at the age of 78 among her loved ones. Born on June 26, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Sue lived a life rich with love, creativity, and family ties. She resided in Liberty Township, Ohio, where her heart remained steadfast in the company of her loved ones.
Sue’s hands crafted beautiful items through sewing and making crafts, which she cherished selling to others. Her interest in genealogy was a testament to her love for family, connecting generations through stories and history.
As a devoted wife to Charles “Bob” Burgher, Sue found joy in their shared experiences-traveling annually to Ocean Isle Beach, where memories were woven into the fabric of family traditions, and visiting the peaceful landscapes of Amish country in Ohio. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she delighted in cooking meals for her family, creating not just food but cherished moments around the holiday table. Above all, Sue poured her heart into her role as a mother and grandmother, reveling in every moment spent with her children and her many grandchildren.
Sue is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Bob; her sons, Jeff (Amanda) Burgher and Jason (Lindsey) Burgher; her daughter Jodi (Jeff) Worthington; her siblings Debbie (Dave) Spaeth and Bruce (Karen) Biedenbach; and her cherished grandchildren, Josh (JJ), Justin, Jared (Jenah), Andi, Jake, Austin, Airey, Caleb, Nate, Kenzie, and Ethan. She also leaves behind her sisters-in-law, Dani (Erich) Kientz and Toni Hagen, and many nieces and nephews, who appreciated the kindness and creativity she shared with them.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, George Biedenbach and Gertrude Bohn, mother and father-in-laws, Charles and Ida Burgher, brother, Butch Biedenbach, and sister, Judy Bussell.
In reflecting on her life, we remember Sue as a vibrant soul whose love, laughter, and radical candor, touched all who knew her. Her dedication to family, her creativity, her strength, and unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of many.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 18th, 2026 from 9:00-11:00am at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 (Follow the BLUE line). A funeral service will follow at 11:00am. Burial will take place at 12:00pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens.

“We first met Sue when she came to work with us. She had great faith which had just delivered her from serious illness. She was fun, funny, smart, generous, hard working and a joy to know! We had great times together and shared so many stories about our lives. Sue was such a blessing to us and God’s gift to so many. My deepest sympathy goes to Bob and her whole family. Cherish all the wonderful memories. Carol Hammons”

“Mrs. B will always have a special place in my heart. Her ability to say what was on her mind was refreshing and at times shocking. But she always called it as she saw it and that’s what made her so special. She was a second mom to me and was always willing to put up with me and my antics as we spent so much time at the Burgher house growing up. She was a fighter and didn’t take any crap. Love her for that. What a great woman.”

“Lord, thank you for bringing this sweet woman into the world and loving her like you did. I cannot thank you enough for what she did for my parents for many years helping them so much. She felt like another mom for many years of my life. Thank you for the miraculous healing her of cancer which helped build my trust in you as the loving Designer and Healer you are. Thank you for her husband who is the example of the Rock of the family as you want all men to be. And thank you for connecting Sue and Bob to create and raise two men that had such an impact on my life as friends learning how to live in Your Kingdom together. My life has been blessed and the world is covered with more love and beauty because You created and loved Sue. Thank you for allowing her to bless me and my family. Tuffer”
