We are honored to serve visitors, families and guests of our community. Because we have received numerous phone calls regarding the availability of our grounds and offices during the COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to push as much information out to you as we could.
The Arlington Memorial Gardens and The Arlington Funeral Home are open by appointment only. We can and will continue to be available for all of your needs, whether you have experienced a death and need Funeral Home and Cemetery assistance or if you are considering pre-planning your funeral and cemetery needs. Rest assured we are here for you and your family! We do ask that if you are not feeling well or if you have been potentially exposed to COVID-19, please refrain from entering our office out of respect for the well-being of our staff and other visitors.
We currently have procedures in place so that our office, funeral home and grounds are staffed and open. We have split into two working teams with rotating schedules to ensure we are always available for your needs during these challenging times. Please read below as we attempt to answer some frequently asked questions.

Please call 513-728-3460. This phone number is monitored 24 hours a day/7 days a week for those who need to contact us for our services, but especially when a death has occurred.
CAN I STILL MAKE PRE-PLANNING ARRANGEMENTS? WHAT IF I CAN’T LEAVE THE HOUSE?
Yes, we can still help you with pre-planning. We have received numerous calls from people regarding this concern. As with any crisis, people begin thinking “what would happen if I or my family experienced an emergency?” Our team of Family Care Advisors are available to help you through this process. While we are accepting appointments for pre-planning, we are also completely prepared to assist without you having to physically come into the office. Pre-planning arrangements can be done via e-mail and/or fax. We’ve also implemented a live chat feature on our website www.amgardens.org that will put you in direct contact with one of our Advisors. Live chat is monitored Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
CAN I STILL VISIT WHERE MY LOVED ONE IS LAID TO REST? CAN I STILL VISIT THE CEMETERY?
Yes. For those wanting to visit your loved one, Compton Road gates are open from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM. Visitation is essentially unchanged; but, please observe social distancing.
The grounds are also an open public space. During this time when many of us are simply looking to get out of doors, everyone is welcome to walk through the beautiful grounds. Enjoy the emerging spring time colors, but again, please observe the 6 foot social distancing guidelines.
The floral color throughout the grounds is a perfect photo opportunity while you are visiting. We would love to have you submit your favorite Arlington photos during our yearly photo contest for the Arlington Calendar.
CAN I BRING MY DOG WITH ME WHEN I COME TO THE CEMETERY?
Yes. Arlington is a dog-friendly cemetery. We do require that your dog be leashed at all times on our grounds and that you clean up after your dog. We have pet waste stations available throughout the cemetery grounds.
WHAT IF I CAN’T LEAVE THE HOUSE TO VISIT WHERE MY LOVED ONE IS LAID TO REST?
Arlington has a feature on our website that enables you to visit your loved one’s grave virtually. You will need to have Google Maps enabled on your device. Click on the Locate A Loved One tab on our website. In the “Search Records” box, type the name of your loved one. When you receive your search results, click on your loved ones name. Scroll down and click on the 360 Ground View. You will then be able to see the vicinity of your loved one and then you can “virtually” zoom in to visit their grave.
The Locate A Loved One feature is also very useful if you are on the grounds and you need help finding a grave. Type the loved ones name in the search records box. Click on your loved one’s name in the search results. Scroll down and click on Get Directions. This feature will then take you directly to the grave space.
WHAT IF I WANT TO SUBMIT A SERVICE REQUEST? WHEN WILL YOU BEGIN MOWING?
If you are visiting the cemetery and notice something is amiss with a loved one’s grave, please make us aware of it. This can be done by calling our office (513-521-7003), by email via the Contact Us button on our website or by using the Live Chat feature on our website. We do ask for your patience in completing Service Requests as we work through the inefficiencies of COVID-19. As mentioned above, we have split our staff, including the Grounds Team, into 2 teams. Each daily staff on the grounds is therefore operating at 50% of the normal staff strength. Their first focus each day will be on committal services. Once those are complete, they will turn their attention to other duties, including grass mowing and service requests.
