Jack James McLaughlin Jr., a beloved member of the community, passed away on August 16, 2024, at the age of 48 in his home in Sunman, IN. He was born on August 24, 1975, in Cincinnati, OH. Jack was known for his warm and generous spirit and his dedication to his faith.
Throughout his life, Jack was actively involved in various community groups, including the Holy Family Church in Oldenburg and the Sisters of St. Francis Bible Study Group. He was also a member of the Flip Twisters Gymnastics Club, where he showcased his talent and passion for floor exercise competitions.
Jack had a love for outdoor activities, such as fishing in farm ponds and playing baseball. He also enjoyed hobbies like building model rockets and cheering for his favorite team, the Cincinnati Bengals.
Jack is the beloved son of Jack J. (Annette) McLaughlin Sr. and the late Deborah (nee Townsend) McLaughlin Baker. Loving brother of Andrea McLaughlin and Luke Baker and step-brother to Kevin Lucka and Heather Hermiller. Devoted partner of Karen Knipp. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jack W. McLaughlin, Bette McLaughlin (Robert) Caldwell, Harold and Virginia Townsend.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024 from 12:30-1:30pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 (Follow the BLUE LINE). A memorial service will follow visitation at 1:30pm. Inurnment will take place at 2:30pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jack’s honor to the Community Mental Health Center, 16 North Park Avenue, Batesville, IN 47006.
