Upon retirement, Nancy continued her passion for history by volunteering at the Lebanon-Harmon Museum, further enriching her knowledge and giving back to the community she held dear. Nancy was a member of the Loveland United Methodist Church.

In addition to her fulfilling career and adventures, Nancy’s family was the center of her universe. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories to her sons James (Carolyn) Smith and Roger (Pam) Smith, and daughter Jennifer Smith, as well as her grandchildren, Nathan (Stephanie), Courtney, and Scott, and great-grandchildren, Nate, Colton, and Carly. “We have lost a truly loving and caring person in Nancy. She will be missed. Our time together with Mr. Chamberlain on the bookmobile was one of the best times of my life. We worked as a team and made a difference in our county while having a wonderful time. Those were the days!”

“On behalf of the Board and Staff of the Lebanon Public Library, please accept our sincere condolences. Nancy was a kind and caring person, devoted to serving the public through her duties as a librarian. She worked on our bookmobile with Mickie and Mr. Chamberlain, visited homebound patrons, and was the Adult Services librarian at our Information Desk. She was such a thoughtful person, always remembering her co-workers young children with little gifts and surprises for every holiday. I am so happy that Nancy was able to enjoy such a long retirement. She will always be an important part of the Library’s history.”

“We’ll all miss your glowing smile and bright light!”
