“I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of my friend, Dick. We have been friends for many years. We met at senior games and I always looked forward to talking to him. We were in different age groups, I’m 80 now, but always enjoyed talking between events. He was a very special man and I thank God for blessing me with his friendship. May he rest in peace. “Dick and I met at the starting line for the Cincinnati Turkey Day race all the way back in 2012. He was such a hopeful light in my world (and I know he will remain that to me). I miss him so dearly already and know that we were all better for having known him. His tenacity and absolute zest for life will be unmatched in my lifetime. May God already be embracing him up there, and then putting a Heavenly race bib on his shirt. I love you so much, Dick. <3”
