Obituary for Robert Marshall Osborne
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Marshall Osborne, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and dedicated paramedic. Born on March 9, 1936, in Fargo, North Dakota, Robert passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, in Middletown, Ohio. Throughout his life, Robert exemplified compassion, humor, and an insatiable curiosity, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Robert dedicated over 30 years of his life to the healthcare industry as a paramedic, where he was known for his commitment to helping others during their most vulnerable moments. His love for the medical field was matched only by his passion for learning; he spent countless hours reading medical books, always seeking to expand his knowledge and better serve those around him.
As a private pilot, Robert found joy in the skies and delighted in the art of flying. His love for aviation was mirrored in his hobby of building model airplanes, a cherished pastime that brought him immense joy and satisfaction. At the heart of his many talents was a passion for cooking; he was especially known for his delicious ham and turkey burgers, which he prepared with love for his family and friends.
A natural jokester, Robert could light up a room with his laughter and warmth. He had a unique ability to make those around him smile, forming connections that transcended words. Robert was also a terrific storyteller and enjoyed listening to and signing his favorite songs. He was deeply loved by his wife, Doris, with whom he shared a beautiful life, filled with love and mutual respect.
Robert leaves behind a legacy of love, knowledge, and laughter. He is survived by his devoted wife, Doris Osborne; his children, Robert (Helen) Osborne, Sharon Osborne-Martin, Ellie Miller, Kevin (Barbara) Osborne, Jeffery (Carrie) Osborne, and Belinda (Tim) Colwell. He also cherished the many moments spent with his grandchildren, Christian Taulbee, Shelby Barnett, Robert Osborne III, Jason Taulbee, Lynne Osborne, Kelly Osborne-Hatmaker, William “Billy” Friar, Alex Osborne, Kevin Osborne Jr., Stephanie Osborne-Young, Jeffery Osborne, Brook Woodburn, Arizona Osborne, Crimson Heimbold, Scarlet Heimbold, Dennessa McSwain, Amber Childress, Alicia Begley-Fields, and many great-grandchildren.
